Continuing the Y-Series by ë's tradition of globe-spanning club-oriented music is Ivan Lima who performs under the stage name, Dj Doraemon. He is a DJ/Producer based in Portugal’s influential ghetto-bass music scene. Strongly built on Angolan staples like Kuduro and Batida, the ghetto bass scene has been on the rise in clubs worldwide since the last decade. This is why its inclusion in this eclectic series of releases was only a matter of time. DJ DORAEMON provides a 3-track EP, Chapéu Azul or Blue Hat

Dj Doraemon retains Kuduro’s off-grid groove and trademark aggression for this EP but keeps it fresh by mixing it up with a bunch of influences of his style as a producer. These include other genres from the other side of the globe such as Baile Funk and Samba but also more familiar Trap music motifs. These rhythms are layered on top of techno-inspired sound design and textures resulting in a lethal concoction sure to fill up the dancefloors. All killer, no filler!
